Recognising a Problem

Modified on Mon, 8 Jul, 2024 at 12:37 PM

Do you or someone you know have a gambling problem? Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Do you need to bet large amounts or spend a lot of time gambling to feel excited?
  2. Are you spending more time and money on gambling than before?
  3. Do you find it hard to stop gambling after a loss or try to win back lost money?
  4. Have you used money meant for other things, borrowed, or sold assets to gamble?
  5. Is gambling causing you financial issues like unpaid bills or missed payments?
  6. Do you lie about or hide your gambling? Does this make you feel guilty?
  7. Is gambling affecting your work, studies, or relationships?
  8. Is gambling affecting your mental or physical health, causing stress or anxiety?
  9. Have others told you that you gamble too much, even if you don't agree?
  10. Do you think you might have a gambling problem?
